Depco Power Systems, originally known as Diesel Engine and Parts Company, was founded over 18 years ago to provide the power industry with high-quality products and service at a fair price. In 2000, Depco was the first diesel engine provider to make online inventory available in real time. The concept of real time was a technology Depco pioneered that continues to update our online inventory as soon as it enters our facility.
Today, our team buys and sells new, rebuilt, and used generators, engines, marine engines, marine transmissions, power units, transfer switches, and parts, providing clients around the globe with the resources they need to do business. As we have grown, our primary goal remains: to provide our customers with quality products and superior service.
We are conveniently located in
Houston, Texas, just two blocks off both Interstate-10 and Loop- 610 and close to the Port of Houston. Occupying an entire city block, our three-acre paved facility houses our central administrative office buildings and 40,000 square feet of warehouse space includinga 12,000 square foot service center served by three overhead cranes (one five-ton and two ten-ton) that includes service bays, a loading dock and forklifts, generator load banks, an engine dynamometer, a cleaning bay, and a paint booth. The size of our facility, explains Depco President Dick Davis, allows us to stock a large inventory at all times, and we are able to handle and repair our inventory quickly, safely, and efficiently.
Unlike other diesel engine suppliers, we own every generator set, engine, and marine transmission we sell. Because we know our products, we are able to offer warranties backed by the Depco guarantee – even on used items. By making sure our products are in optimal working condition, our associates and customers are educated, and by giving generously to our community.
Depco Safety Program
We have a firm stance on operating our business in a safe manner. Our onsite safety coordinator heads up the Depco Safety Program and regularly inspects the facility, watching for unsafe conditions on a daily basis. Our staff holds monthly meetings to discuss our facility’s safety, and we often bring in outside safety experts to host these meetings. Our emergency response team is trained in first aid and CPR and is always readily available to respond with first aid kits and an automatic electronic defibrillator if an injury should occur.
